Our Services

  • Eyeglasses
Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism can affect the way your child learns, plays, and interacts with others. Pediatric Vision Specialists offers children’s eyeglasses to help correct these vision problems and get your child on the road to success
  • Lazy Eye
Amblyopia (lazy eye) is a visual development disorder caused by poor coordination between the eye and brain. Amblyopia is the most common cause of vision loss in children, occurring in about 3% of kids. An eye turn or trouble focusing could be a sign that your child is at risk for amblyopia.
  • Myopia Control
Highly myopic (nearsighted) prescriptions are associated with many lifelong eye health and vision complications. Pediatric Vision Specialists utilizes corneal reshaping technology and soft contact lenses to help slow the progression of myopia
  • Pink Eye
Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is an inflammation of the eye that can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergies. Symptoms such as crusting, redness, swelling, discharge, itching, irritation, and blurry vision are all possible signs of conjunctivitis.
  • Infant Eye Exams
Vision is an essential driving force for proper development in infants and children, and any visual complications should be addressed as early as possible. All children should have their first eye exam before their first birthday.
  • Vision Related Learning Disabilities
Vision is an essential part of learning. Struggles with reading and other school-related activities could indicate a vision-related learning disability or eye movement disorder. Dr. Bre at Pediatric Vision Specialists can diagnose and manage these issues.
  • Pediatric Eye Exams
All children should have their first eye exam before their first birthday. After infancy, children, even children with no visual complaints, should have their eyes examined every 1-2 years after their first exam as directed by your doctor.
  • Urgent Care
Accidents, injuries, and infections can happen at a moments notice, especially in children. If an injury or fast-acting illness affects your child’s eyes, call Pediatric Vision Specialists to make an urgent care appointment, or call our emergency number after hours at 641-780-7299
  • Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy is similar to physical therapy, but for the eyes and visual system. Vision therapy involves a series of guided exercises to help improve the coordination and focusing control of your eyes in ways that glasses and contact lenses sometimes cannot.
