James A. Davison, M.D., F.A.C.S., graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 1972, received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School at Rochester in 1976, and finished his ophthalmology internship at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California School of Medicine at Los Angeles in 1977. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester finishing as chief resident in 1980 and joined the Wolfe Eye Clinic (WEC) as the sixth eye surgeon in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1976 and the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1981.
